City-tour in Yekaterinburg with visiting border between Europe and Asia and Monastery Ganina Yama
During this excursion you will learn the history of one of the biggest cities of Russia – Yekaterinburg. You will see the Historical Square with the original plan of the city, the monument to its founders, the city dam, and the chapel of St.Ekaterina – the patroness of the city. You will walk along the old streets that represent the style of the XVIII and XIX century, and of course you will visit the famous Church on the Blood (the place of death of Emperor and his family), learn about the theatrical life of Yekaterinburg of XIX – XX centuries and also see the face of modern Yekaterinburg -city.
After lunch you will also visit the border between Europe and Asia - the obelisk that was set up in a unique geographical place where the natural border between Europe and Asia crosses. It is situated in 17 km from the city. The western part of monument was brought from the very western part of the continent, and the eastern part of monument was brought from the very eastern part of the continent. Then you will visit the monastery Ganina Yama, where you will learn about the last tsar family in Russia - Romanovs and their destiny . The monastery is a complex of 7 wooden temples in Russian style according to the number of Royal family members.
